Black-eyed Peas & Sushi Rice

The big takeaway from this dish is that good beans do not come from a can. You've got to soak them. There's a big difference.

Instruction

  1. Start cooking the rice
  2. Heat frying pan over medium high heat
  3. Add olive oil and garlic and brown
  4. Add garlic and sauté for a few minutes
  5. Add everything else and lower heat to a simmer for at least 45 minutes
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste
  7. Serve over rice
